Varnum LLP seeks to hire an experienced attorney to join the Banking and Finance Practice Team in any of our Michigan offices.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8+ years of experience in banking and finance matters and will have significant experience in a wide range of transactions representing commercial lenders and borrowers on single- and multi-bank deals, including working capital lines of credit, term loan facilities, real estate facilities, and asset-based lending. The candidate will have experience structuring, negotiating, and documenting a variety of credit facilities, including secured and unsecured, syndicated, and single-lender deals.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated business development acumen, but a portable book of business is not required for this position. Candidates should have the ability to manage complex files, supervise client relationships, and lead deals. A high level of responsiveness, excellent client service skills, and exceptional attention to detail are essential. Candidates must be admitted to the Michigan Bar or eligible for prompt admission.
