Fast paced but family friendly litigation practice with offices in Helena and Anaconda is seeking an associate attorney for full time, on site, preferably long term employment. Applicants should be interested in living and practicing law in the Rocky Mountains. Wall, McLean & Gallagher, PLLC is a general practice civil law firm with a trial focus and emphasis on personal injury and complex litigation. However, the firm serves a broad range of clients and practice areas with room for growth in all of them, and a particualr interest in family law. Attorneys seeking court room experience in civil law preferred. Applicants must be admitted to or eligible for admission to the Montana bar, have strong research and writing skills and an attention to detail.  Causal office attire with formal attention to serving clients and community. Requirements

Juris Doctor with admission or eligibility to be admitted to state and federal courts of Montana. 0-5 years of practice is preferred and new law school graduates and those ending clerkships who seek to work in private civil practice are encouraged to apply. Strong interpersonal skills a must, as are good research and writing abilities. It is presumed but not unstated that keyboarding  and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products will accompany any applicant otherwise qualified.  Willingness to work alone and in collaborative environment with experienced legal professionals, self-motivation and interest in trial work and litigation are requisites. Must be willing to get courtroom experience in family law settings, but civil practice is quite varied. Limited opportunities for criminal practice if desired. Some occasional travel necessary.  The ideal candidate will appreciate the advantages of living in the Rocky Mountain West.
